Got a zombie star this evening from a 2-year old post. Usually, those come from the FP reposting an old article, usually on a holiday or special occasion, and then new people read through the old comments.
But I didn’t see anything like that here. Life’s full of little mysteries, I guess.

I get that every so often, but it’s usually because of links. Most are COTDs, one about where people put their children if they buy a wagon and another about how buying your kid a Citation as a first car will save you from having to pay college tuition.
I just realized that most of my COTDs involve child abuse. Jalopnik editors are sick bastards.

Jalopnik editors are sick bastards.
Obvious sentence is obvious. :P

I’ve been known to mistakenly scroll through someone’s blog not realizing it isn’t the Oppo main page. I’ve also come to older posts via Google and forgot how I got there. I'm sure if I do it there's someone else as well.

I got a reply yesterday to a NPoCP comment I made 4-1/2 years ago.

Either somebody googled something, or occasionally I’ll see 2+ year old articles in the top bar for whatever reason. Not paying attention to the date, I’ve even replied to some of them.

Zo mbie star... I like that. T hat’s a good term for it. I just got one on this 2016 comment, and I can’t think of what current article might have linked to Tavarish’s old post.

NPoCP? I t’s pretty rare for there to be an old link to one of those . I wonder how somebody found it.

Yeah, I have no idea.

Makes sense.

That’s weird, especially since those posts are by definition transitory.

Yeah, that’s what I thought because I’ve done that too. So I took a few minutes to scroll through and didn’t see the article resurrected.

I need to get a hold of the Thriller video and make a Kinja’d gif.
I bet someone cheap and desperate was googling how to fix a flat tire.

Maybe. There was that one post last night about the guy buying tires, but I don’t see a link to the Tavarish one there. Unless there was a discussion somewhere in the comments where somebody brought it up? Eh, I’m not sorting through 300 comments to find out.

Very weird indeed.

Could be. The first thing I thought was that those were some expensive tires. The second thing I thought was that this lady should get acquainted with the used tire market.
